Efil Doog Gardens are in the beautiful Akatarawa
Valley near Upper Hutt and just 15 minutes from State Highway 2.
The dominant feature of the Akatarawas (Valley of the Vines) is the
sparkling clear Akatarawa River chuckling its way through the native
bush, hills and farmlands.
Akatarawa Valley is the home of several popular tourist attractions
related to nature and country lifestyles. These include gardens, nurseries,
wildlife park, emu and blueberry farm, and holiday park.
Efil Doog has been independently assessed as a "Garden of Regional
Significance" by the New Zealand Garden Trust.

| Your
Hosts |
Ernest and
Shirley Cosgrove. We created this garden from bare fields over
twenty Five exciting years as a haven and lifestyle for our retirement.
We have since decided to share it with all those that enjoy fine
art and nature's beauty. Ernest has accumulated the painting collection
over three decades.
We very much enjoy meeting our visitors on their arrival and looking
after them during their stay.
